So I'm writing this while sitting at the kitchen table of my parents' house in Keystone, Colorado. This house is one of the things that was always to happen in the far-off someday that first began to be referenced when I was eight years old. Or at least, that's when I first began to notice these references.
A hummingbird just flew by the window and I have now completely forgotten what I was going to say. In my defense, I do not actually suffer from ADD but rather the dreaded "Magpie Syndrome". Very little is known about it because sufferers keep getting distracted by the reflected sunlight from their respective watch crystals and never make it to the doctors.
There went another hummingbird. They seem to think the string of Texas lights along our porch are some strange variant of nectar bearing flower. These are lights in the shape and colors of the Texas flag, strung up below our hanging Texas flag. Our neighbors are pretty sure we're from Jersey but trying to hide that out of shame. Our frequent barbecues probably don't help.
